Darling James Drops Another Delicious Indie-Pop Morsel With “God’s Grafitti”
Melbourne indie-pop sweetheart Darling James has released the third taste of his upcoming ‘Theory of Mind’ EP with his latest single God’s Graffiti.
Starting with a rock-tinged explosion before jumping into pure head-nodding summer bliss, God’s Graffiti gives off some sublime Foals-meets-Empire Of The Sun vibes. God’s Graffiti chugs along like a funky train from a 70’s cartoon, a bright mix of synthesisers and drum pads underlie the restrained vocals of Darling James.
God’s Graffiti ends with a culmination of fuzzy guitar licks before some trippy track skipping/error effects reminds us to check our music player and start the indie banger again.
With previous single The Itch having a much more brash up-tempo appeal and Ultimatum Talk having a brooding slower pace, it seems the upcoming EP will cover all we want from indie-pop!
Darling James will release his debut EP ‘Theory of Mind’ on Friday 18th of November, but in the meantime check out God’s Graffiti below!
