James Tidswell of Violent Soho Launches New Record Label

Violent Soho guitarist James Tidswell has launched his very own boutique record label, Domestic La La. Originally started out only wanting to manage Violent Soho and then actually ending up being a band member, it’s a huge milestone for the Brisbane local.

To celebrate the launch of the label, Domestic La La is doing a 7” subscription called the “Domestic La La Record Club.” Two different bands will be offered on each release as a double A-side. “The idea is to give people a way of discovering new bands – some up and coming, some already established and some you’ve never heard of.” There will be a offering of these babies every couple of months! The first of which is available for pre order now and features West Thebarton Ivan / STORK Dark Shadows. Pre-orders are available HERE.

“The idea behind Domestic La La is to allow bands to be on a label with someone who is sympathising with the artist themselves, and the struggle with having a vision and wanting to do something that doesn’t fit into the everyday mould that record labels operate within,” says James.

The label already has two bands signed West Thebarton and Dear Seattle. The latter has a full feature LP being released soon with Domestic La La on vinyl which is available for pre order now HERE.
