British rockers You Me At Six have recently announced the release date of their fifth studio album ‘Night People’ along with the release of the opening title track. If this is anything to go off you better believe this is going to another hugely successful album!
Hailing from Surrey, England, the five-piece have been around for over a decade now and have sold over 600, 000 albums globally. With their latest effort ‘Cavalier Youth’ debuting at #1 in the UK, cracking a top 15 spot in Australia and selling 32, 000 copies in the first week, expectations are high.
You Me At Six are in good hands with Grammy award winning producer Jacquire King (Kings Of Leon, James Bay) and engineer Andrew Scheps (Black Sabbath, Red Hot Chilli Peppers) behind the wheel of their fifth studio album ‘Night People’ which is set to be released on Friday, January 13th! The album was recently dubbed, “The hottest record in the World” on BBC Radio 1 which sounds like a bit of a huge call but hey we’ll bite. Coming in at just over 35 minutes, ‘Night People’ isn’t a very lengthy album but in typical You Me At Six style this album is sure to be packed with captivating guitars, huge choruses and enough energy to shake the room!
The albums kicks off with the title track exploding with its distorted guitar and pounding drums as we are greeted with Josh Franceschi’s super smooth voice. With a slight Arctic Monkeys, Do I Wanna Know vibe, this track serves as a solid opener which would translate to an epic live performance!
