PREMIERE: Machine Club Spurs A Primal Shift In Electronic Music With Debut Single ‘Wise Up’

Machine Club

Debut singles have been pouring in thick and fast this year—just this week we showed you Loose Leaf‘s immense nostalgic indie-rock and the inter-dimensional synthwave from Intaloopa. Now we’re pleased to offer the debut offering from Gold Coast electronic stalwart, Machine Club. Wise Up is his impassioned first single into the world and AAA Backstage has the exclusive premiere.

With years of experience and a background in DJ’ing—as well as peering in-and-out of the scene with a selection of musical outfits, the most recent of those being Klubknight—Machine Club is the artist’s fully realised version of his own self-worth. Sleepless nights and years of waiting, crafting and producing Machine Club’s music to its absolute best have all amounted this point—his epic debut single, Wise Up.

To call Machine Club a perfectionist would be an understatement. The amount of blood, sweat and tears on display here is immeasurable. Wise Up is a culmination of shifting electronic movements and primal velocities. Signalling this as electronic music, however, would be taking the easy route. His production is built and stacked flawlessly—marking an unheard take on the genre. It’s the got the razor sharpness of Nine Inch Nails with the epic bass capacities of The Presets.

In addition to the trip-wire aesthetics of the production, Machine Club can also astonish with his vocals! Wise Up contains a chorus you’ll be singing to for days on end. His lyrics speak of society turning a blind eye and where we currently sit in that spectrum.

Machine Club has played only a few shows in his short amount of time on the scene—one of those being the unofficial AAA Backstage BIGSOUND party. His live show is an all-inclusive collaborative effort with a live drummer that further extends what’s on offer with his recorded material. Machine Club will be on tour come April—including a slot at the massive AAA Backstage Birthday Bash! Scope his tour itinerary below along with the exclusive stream of Wise Up.
